Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a fail to stop incident in Waterloo. 

On June 21, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Lincoln Road and Marshall Street and witnessed the driver of a white GMC Sierra pickup truck proceed through a stop sign without stopping. 

Officers attempted to stop the driver, and the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, turning right onto Bellehaven Drive. A pursuit was not initiated due to concerns for public safety.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video or dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to call police at 519-570-9777, extension 6399 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
