Waterloo Regional Police Charge Kitchener Male in Child Exploitation Investigation
In December 2025, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime- Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material (formerly Child Pornography) after receiving information regarding a Kitchener resident from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre (NCECC).
As a result of the investigation, on June 11, 2026, officers completed a search warrant at a Kitchener residence. As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old Kitchner male was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Making child sexual abuse and exploitation material available
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
