The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) has been informed of a cybersecurity incident involving Navigate360, the third-party provider of the P3 tip management platform used by Crime Stoppers programs across Canada under the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association.

Waterloo Regional Crime Stoppers has advised WRPS that a breach of its information has occurred and has requested a comprehensive assessment from Navigate360 to better understand the scope and potential impact.

Crime Stoppers operates independently from the WRPS and Crime Stoppers’ system is separate from and does not connect to WRPS information technology infrastructure.

The WRPS will continue to monitor developments as they become available.
