Multiple Charges Laid Following Impaired Driving Collision in Wellesley Township
Waterloo Regional Police have laid multiple charges following a motor vehicle collision in Wellesley Township.
On July 10, 2026, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police North Division officers observed a vehicle with significant damage being driven in the area of Kressler Road and Erbsville Road.
Through the investigation, officers determined that the driver of a black Nissan Rogue had lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and then attempted to continue driving.
There were no reported physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old male from Kitchener was arrested. Police determined the male was already subject to a provincial driver's licence suspension and a Canada-wide driving prohibition.
The accused has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Dangerous Operation
- Drive While Prohibited
- Drive While Under Suspension (two counts)
- Novice Driver with Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
