Police Arrest Two Youths Following Recovery of Stolen Vehicle in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two youths after locating a stolen vehicle in Waterloo.
On July 11, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., police received information of a stolen vehicle parked on Albert Street. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle. As officers approached, the driver attempted to flee by reversing into a police cruiser. Both the driver and the passenger were subsequently arrested. There were no reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 16-year-old female youth from Brantford has been charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Obstruct peace officer
- Person under 19 years- possess cannabis
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
The passenger, a 17-year-old female youth from Kitchener has been charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
