Waterloo Regional Police Respond to Serious Collision in Wellesley Township

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a serious collision that occurred in Wellesley Township.

On July 17, 2026, at approximately 9:15 a.m., police responded to reports of a collision on Kressler Road and Erbsville Road.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver of a Toyota SUV was travelling west on Kressler Road and had slowed to make a left turn onto Erbsville Road when the vehicle was struck from behind by a Chevrolet pickup truck. As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet rolled onto its side.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 52-year-old male from Wellington County, was transported by Ornge air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. A 17-year-old female passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the Toyota, a 52-year-old Waterloo female, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The intersection was closed for several for the investigation and remains closed at this time.
