On July 19, 2026, at approximately 11:010 p.m., police responded to Benjamin Road for reports of a motor vehicle collision.

Officers located an SUV that had left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Benjamin Road was closed between Westmount Road North and Burning Bush Road for approximately four hours while police conducted the initial investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
