Waterloo Regional Police Arrest a Cambridge Male After a Drug and Firearm Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Cambridge male with drug and firearm-related offences.
On December 18, 2024, members of WRPS' Drugs and Firearms Unit completed a search warrant at a Cambridge residence in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.
As part of the search warrant, investigators seized approximately 1.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine, a prohibited firearm, and ammunition.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Cambridge male has been arrested and charged with 11 offences, including:
- Possession of the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles)
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
