Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Serious Collision in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a serious collision in Cambridge involving two vehicles.

On August 10, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving a Toyota van and a Volkswagen SUV in the area of Maple Grove Road and Beaverdale Road.

The driver of the Toyota van, a 29-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two youths travelling in the Volkswagen SUV were also injured. One youth was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a second youth was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for several hours while members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit investigated the collision. The road has since reopened.

The investigation remains ongoing.
