Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a residential break-and-enter in Kitchener.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break, Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery Team (BEAR) are investigating a residential break-and-enter that occurred on August 8, 2026, on Stonehenge Place.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) entered through the rear of the residence and stole property.

Police are requesting citizens in the area of Stonehenge Place, Yellow Birch Drive, and Driftwood Drive, to check their home security cameras for any suspicious persons or vehicles on August 8, 2026, between 5:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. 

WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team is asking residents to consider the following tips to help prevent break-ins:

• Keep doors and windows locked, even when home.
• Install audible noise alarm systems.
• Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence.
• Notify neighbours when away for an extended period and arrange to have someone check on your residence.
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to police.
• If backing on to a green space, consider installing trail cameras.
