Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges following a motor vehicle collision in Kitchener.

On August 16, 2026, at approximately 12:15 p.m., police received multiple reports of a collision in the area of Wilson Avenue and Fairway Road South.

Through the investigation, officers determined that the driver of a vehicle fled the scene after the collision and struck a victim with the vehicle while leaving the area.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police located the driver and arrested a 26-year-old male from Brampton in connection with the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
