On August 20, 2026, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Unit completed search warrants at two residences and two commercial businesses in Kitchener as part of an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Kitchener male, a 39-year-old Kitchener male, and a 34-year-old Kitchener male were arrested and charged with various drug and firearms offences.

Investigators seized a firearm, a quantity of suspected cocaine, two prohibited weapons, jewelry, and a sum of Canadian currency.

All three accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
