WRPS Arrest Kitchener Male After a Kitchener Robbery
Waterloo Regional Police arrested a male after a robbery incident in Kitchener.
On December 7, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., police responded to a business in the area of Victoria Street North for a report of a suspect assaulting an employee while shoplifting. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
The lone male entered the business and attempted to steal items inside. When an employee tried to intervene, the male assaulted and uttered death threats to the employee.
Members of Central Neighbourhood Policing located the male shortly after responding, and arrested and charged him with the following offences:
- Robbery
- Disguise with intent
- Possession of stolen good under $5,000
- Possession of break and enter instruments
- Two counts of possession of Schedule I drugs
- Uttering threats to cause bodily harm
The 38-year-old Kitchener male was held for a bail hearing.
There are no reports of any physical injuries.
