Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Serious Pedestrian Collision in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in Cambridge.

On September 9, 2026, at approximately 5:05 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision on King Street East at Waterloo Street North.

Through the investigation, officers determined that a Honda sedan, driven by a 27-year-old Cambridge male, was travelling eastbound on King Street East when it struck a youth female pedestrian who was crossing the roadway.

The driver of the Honda was not injured.

The female pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed while officers conducted the investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation remains ongoing.
