Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges following a robbery at a business in Cambridge.

On September 7, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., an unknown male entered a convenience store in the area of Pinebush Road and Franklin Boulevard.

Investigators learned that the male demanded money from an employee before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Break, Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) Unit assumed carriage of the investigation.

On September 10, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the suspect was located and arrested in Cambridge.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with:

• Robbery with a Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
• Disguise with Intent

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
