Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Fatal Collision in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Waterloo.

On September 15, 2026, at approximately 10:50 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving a Nissan, Ford, and Cadillac at the intersection of Fischer-Hallman Road North and Columbia Street West.

The driver of the Nissan, a 78-year-old Waterloo male, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Ford, a 62-year-old Waterloo male, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 63-year-old female from Waterloo, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours while members of the Traffic Services Unit investigated.

The investigation remains ongoing.
