Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in a hate motivated incident in Kitchener.

On September 26, 2026, police were notified of a live stream video posted online that contained threats and antisemitic comments directed at members of the Jewish community.

As a result of the investigation, officers completed a warrant at a residence in Kitchener and arrested the suspect.

A 33-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with:

• Utter Threats to Cause Death- Hate Motivated

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
