Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Animal Incident in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking witnesses after three kittens were located on Hespeler Road in Cambridge.

On September 30, 2026, at approximately 9 a.m., police responded to the area of Hespeler Road and Can-Amera Parkway after receiving a report of injured animals on the roadway.

Two kittens were located deceased, while a third kitten later succumbed to its injuries.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Initial information received indicates the kittens may have come from a moving vehicle travelling southbound on Hespeler Road.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash camera footage from the area at the time to contact police at 519-570-9777.
