WRPS Investigating Armed Robbery at Cambridge Convenience Store
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to an armed robbery investigation in Cambridge.
On November 18, 2024, at approximately 10:25 p.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in the area of Water Street South and Myers Road. An unknown suspect attended the business on foot, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash and merchandise from an employee before fleeing the area, heading towards Water Street South.
On November 20, 2024, officers arrested and charged a 57-year-old Cambridge male with the following:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Weapons dangerous
- Disguise with intent
- Breach of probation
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery at a business in Cambridge.
On November 18, 2024, at approximately 10:25 p.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in the area of Water Street South and Myers Road.
An unknown suspect attended the business on foot, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash and merchandise from an employee before fleeing the area, heading towards Water Street South.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The suspect is described as a male with an average build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Robbery Team.
