Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Kitchener. 

On July 11, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of Victoria Street North and Weber Street West.

A male victim was sprayed with a noxious substance by an unknown male, who fled the area before the arrival of emergency services.

The victim sustained minor physical injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
