Waterloo Regional Police are investigation an assault involving a weapon in Kitchener.

On July 15, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Ottawa Street South and Strasburg Road. 

The victim, a 34-year-old male, was assaulted by an unknown male after a verbal altercation. The unknown male assaulted the victim with an edged weapon and left the area. 

The victim suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old with short dark hair.
