Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team has charged two youths in connection to a stolen motor vehicle investigation.

On October 8, 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation, police completed a search warrant at a residence on Cedar Street in Cambridge.

Two stolen motorcycles, a blue Yamaha that was reported stolen on September 19, 2024, from a parking lot in West Galt and a black Suzuki motorcycle reported stolen on October 5, 2024, from a parking garage in Kitchener, were recovered by investigators.

As a result of the investigation, two 15-year-old Cambridge youths were charged with theft of motor vehicle and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

A third vehicle, a black Hyperbike Ultra 40 e-bike, not previously reported as stolen, was also recovered. Investigators would like to identify the vehicle’s owner and are asking anyone who believes the e-bike may be theirs to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 8313 or BEVT@wrps.on.ca. Proof of purchase and serial number information is required.
