Waterloo Regional Police Investigate Reported Abduction in St. Jacobs
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a reported abduction in St. Jacobs.
Initial information has led investigators to believe that this incident is related to an ongoing investigation from May 2025 involving individuals who were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit, Major Crime Unit, and General Investigations Unit.

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a reported abduction in St. Jacobs.
On July 31, 2025, at approximately 9:10 p.m., an unknown male attended a residence in the area of King Street North and Sawmill Road. The male entered a residence and abducted a female youth. The youth was able to escape to a place of safety and contact police. The youth sustained minor physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a brown male, approximately 20 to 30 years, tall, with a black buzz cut and a black shaved beard. The male was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and light grey knee length shorts.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
