Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following a house fire in North Dumfries Township.

On August 4, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Gourley Farm Lane for reports of a house fire.

There were no physical injuries reported.

A 43-year-old male was arrested and charged with Arson. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

The roads were closed in the area for the investigation and have since been reopened. 

The investigation remains ongoing by police and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
