Waterloo Regional Police Lay Charges in Wire Theft Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection with a two-month-long theft investigation in Cambridge.
On June 1, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., two suspects stole copper wire from a business in the area of Main Street and Franklin Boulevard.
On August 7, 2025, WRPS’ South Division Direct Action Response Team (DART) arrested and charged a 60-year-old Cambridge male in connection with this incident.
Charges include Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence and Theft under $5,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
