Verified Alarm Response Program

The Waterloo Regional Police use a Verified Alarm Response program. The program is designed to reduce the number of false alarms that offers attend each year.

An officer will only be automatically dispatched for hold up, duress, panic or mobile tracking system alarms.

All other alarms will require verification by audio, video, multiple zone activation or eyewitnesses before an officer will attend.

A fee will be applied for false alarms when police are required to attend.
