Waterloo Regional Police are Looking to Locate Cambridge Male in Connection to a Cambridge Fire
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to an ongoing fire investigation in Cambridge.
On July 3, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in the area of Malcolm Street and Roseview Avenue.
The residence was cleared and the Cambridge Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire, however the building sustained major damage. There were no reports of any physical injuries.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on July 29, 2025, Andrew Reis, was arrested and charged with the following:
Arson - disregard for human life
Mischief over $5,000
Assault with a weapon
Aggravated assault
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in the area of Malcolm Street and Roseview Avenue.

Police are asking the public for help in locating Andrew Reis, 29-years-old, who is wanted on a warrant for the incident.

Andrew is described as 5'9'', approximately 160lbs, and has tattoos on both of his arms.

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in the area of Malcolm Street and Roseview Avenue.
The residence was cleared and the Cambridge Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire, however the building sustained major damage. There were no reports of any physical injuries.
At this time and due to the nature of the incident, members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit are continuing to investigate the fire with the assistance of the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall.
