Waterloo Regional Police Looking to Identify the Property Owners After a Bicycle "Chop Shop" Investigation
UPDATED RELEASE
On June 26, 2025, the Waterloo Regional Police recovered numerous bicycles and bicycle parts after completing a warrant following a property theft investigation.
At this time members of the Direct Action Response Team are attempting to locate the owners of the recovered bicycles in the photographs to have the bicycles returned.
If you believe one of the bicycles belongs to you please reach out to the investigating officers with any ownership confirmation you have (serial number or photograph of yourself with the bicycle). Once ownership is confirmed officers with make arrangements to have the bicycles returned.

PREVIOUS RELEASE
On June 26, 2025, the North Division Direct Action Response Team completed a search warrant at a residence in Kitchener.
The warrant was of the result of an ongoing bicycle theft investigation.
The investigation began after a stolen bike was located inside a residence near King Street West and Green Street in Kitchener. After the initial bicycle was located, numerous other bicycles and parts were located as a nearby residence.
Police were able to recover over $25,000.00 in bicycles and parts.
Police are continuing the investigation. Members of DART will be attempting to locate and return the bicycles to owners as the investigation continues.
